Established December 7th of 1888, the Alpha Sigma Chapter continuously strives to foster and preserve high academic standings; train the undergraduate in leadership responsibility and instill the ideal of good citizenship; stimulate participation in college programs and develop close cooperation between membership and college officials, faculty, and other student organizations; and provide an environment of brotherhood for the achievement of purposeful living, both in the University of Minnesota community and in the community as a whole.
